Dr. Dorothea Jacobsen

Dr. Dorothea Jacobsen is a board-certified family physician. She finished her residency in 2003 in Oklahoma City and medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University in 2000. She has been a physician in Lincoln for the past 18 years. Dr. Jacobsen is married to Matthew Jacobsen, MD and they have four children. She enjoys playing violin, gardening, and traveling. Most of all, spending time with family.

Molly Babl, PA-C

Molly Babl is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who has been practicing in family medicine since 2013. As a Lincoln Nebraska native, she attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln for her undergraduate work receiving a degree in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology. She attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska for her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies. She was a member of the honors fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi and participated in the John Krebs PA student society during her academic career. After graduating PA school she relocated to Texas where she worked in family practice for 10 years. She is passionate about collaborative and compassionate patient care with an emphasis on women's health. She recently returned back to Nebraska with her husband and two young daughters. In her free time she likes to travel, read, and watch interior design shows.

Kelsey Baxa, APRN

Kelsey joined Capital Medical in the fall of 2022. She was born and raised in Lincoln, NE. She graduated with her BSN in 2012, and later obtained her Master’s degree in Nursing in 2016. Previous nursing experience includes caring for individuals going through solid organ transplant, as well as medical surgical procedures. Nurse practitioner experience includes Rheumatology. She is married to her husband Drew, and they have two Labs: Evie and Lillie. In her spare time she loves to bake custom sugar cookies, and catch Husker Baseball games.
